Play House Lane
So I have to admit, the last thing I expected to fall head over heels for was a playhouse at the Memphis botanic garden. However that just goes to show that you should never skip the kid area, you never know what treasure you may find! They had everything from fairy houses, farm houses, and even a number of unique houses. What I loved most about Play House Lane is the way they set it up, all the house literally look like a neighborhood for kids. They will adore playing in each one, and if your looking for a spot to play hide and seek with your little ones this set up works great for that.

Swings & Benches
I honestly loved all the spectacular swings on site, they have quite a selection of swings that you don't commonly see especially at a botanical garden. It definitely brought out my inner kid, and I had to try them all! It was also great that they had so many benches throughout the property,I honestly lost count but they had at least 30 benches on site dispersed throughout the gardens.Which is fantastic that shows that they want their visitors to actually sit back, and enjoy the view of the blooming garden all around them! So make sure you do just that, find your favorite swing or bench in the park and make time to enjoy all the little things you will be surprised how blissful you will feel.

Giant Insects Sculptures
These giants sculptures will surprise you throughout the garden, from spiders, grasshoppers, ants, even a picnic basket with an ant taking over! The sculptures are large, in charge, and a a great place to sit and have your very own picnic. (at a distance of course) So make sure to bring a blanket ,and a snack and lay out to enjoy the view of the many sculptures. The sculptures were constructed by an artist named David Roger, they were made completely made of wood. From pieces the artist found and collected such as tree trucks and twigs, he would than use a chain saw to give it the appearance you now see before you. This exhibit has toured many gardens such as Disney Worlds Epcot,U.S Arboretum, and many others, this is the first time the exhibit is Memphis.  So make sure to catch it next time your in town!

Kids love to play in all the different sections, and its a great place to have a party. Embrace Nature
Most importantly make sure you get a little lost while your in the garden, take your time to truly look at every detail and fine peace in being one with mother nature. Sometimes we rush through life not truly taking the time to enjoy ourselves, so take a deep breath as you look around and realize the beauty all around you. You never know you may be inspired to create your garden of your own, you know what they say "Life begins the day you start a garden", and although that may sound corny nothing could be more true. I can assure you have all admired many trees, flowers, gardens, and even landscapes all created by someone that has long been taken from this earth but they planted a seed and left behind something that will always live on. Therefore don't be afraid to plant a seed of your own, you may enjoy it more than you know!
