Rocky Steps
The city of Philadelphia has plenty of attractions to choose from, however one of the most iconic places is the museum of art. Millions of tourists a year flock to its steps to reenact the famous "Rocky" movie. If you want to recreate history on the same steps, make sure to go 72  steps before the entrance of the Philadelphia Museum of Art and you will be at the very spot known as the "Rocky Steps"!
Architecture
This museum is utterly phenomenal , you could spend an entire day just exploring all the floors and admiring  all the architecture and decor! Constructed in 1928, there was a lot of thought put into this Greek inspired building. The outside is completely made of Minnesota dolomite, and covers a total of 10 acres. This museum is considered the #1 location in many of the architecture  tours in the city of Philadelphia, so make sure to not miss this marvelous structure even if art is not your cup of tea.
Reconstructed Rooms
One of my favorite things about this museum is that they have reconstructed rooms that step you back in history, like the photo above. It an exceptional gift to be able to walk into a room, and be transported back into an era in time that has long been forgotten. From the centuries old furniture, rugs, tapestries, borders, chandeliers, and fine china no little detail was missed!

New Media Art
Art is not always a canvas with a picture that immerse from paint, art can come in endless forms from mixed media, photography,to more unique form like the video presentation above. New media art is when an artist uses digital art, computer graphics, virtual art, interactive art, video games, computer robotics, and 3D printing as the foundation to the artist creation. Make sure to take the time to see the entire presentation, in order to truly grasp what the artist is trying to portray.
Statues
Throughout the museum there are many statues and structures, placed among the artworks in the room. Most of them are subtractive sculptures which means they started as  a whole, and the process involved removing material, as in wood carving or stone sculpture. The two sculptures above represent examples of an subtractive sculptures, because they were carved from a large piece of stone.
Mixed Media
Mixed Media is when artists use  a variety of media in an a work of art , it can also be known as multimedia. The piece above is considered just this because the artist incorporated a lot of mixed and odd objects in his art work, such as a life size chair and 3D letter coming from the painting.
Traditional artwork
This museum also offers a lot of traditional pieces of artwork like the one seen above. They feature well known artist such as Claude Monet, and Picasso to lesser known artist that are just as talented! Make sure to give yourself an abundant amount of time to immerse yourself in all the galleries, they could easily keep you occupied all day long.
Additional Tips
I would visit this Philadelphia attraction in the afternoon right before sun down, that way when you leave you cam emerge yourself into the glistening lights of downtown Philly! It's definitely where to get the best view of downtown ,and if your lucky enough to go in the holiday season you get a great view of the largest tree I have ever seen in my life!
